Carnival 2010 - Inventions

Duck Race

This is the sixth year of what has become an annual event. The Duck Race takes place on the second Saturday of July (this year it's the 10th) on the River Ouzel between Edlesborough and Eaton Bray.

You can buy tickets either from your local seller or at the Carnival. On the 10th July, hundreds of beautiful, plastic ducks are procured ready to race. Ugly ducklings are not allowed but each is individually numbered and, despite having no feet, there will not be a lame duck amongst them.

Tickets are £1 each and the winners have a share of the total income. There are six prizes.
